３．はじめまして　Ku-ri-su です

はじめまして、Peter。私の名前は Ku-ri-su です。Criss を日本語であらわすとそういう発音になるんですよ。
私は現在３３歳で、１６歳の時にＫＩＳＳ　ＡＬＩＶＥ！のCDジャケットに衝撃を感じ、それ以来のＫＩＳＳファンです。オリジナルメンバーそれぞれ大好きなのですが、その中でもあなたが一番好きです。

特に「ＡＬＩＶＥ！」でのあなたの声、ドラミングは素晴らしいです。「ＮＯＴＨＩＮＧ　ＴＯ　ＬＯＯＳＥ」や「ＢＬＡＣＫ　ＤＩＡＭＯＮＤ」でのあなたのシャウトに感動し、一発でファンになりました。それ以来、あなたがプレイしているライブや、ソロのレコードを買いあさりました。未だに手に入らないのは、あなたの初レコーディング作品の「ＣＨＥＡＬＳＥＡ」です。是非、聞いてみたいのですが、なかなか手に入らないんですよ・・。

私のＫＩＳＳが好きな理由はその親しみやすい楽曲という理由があります。しかし、それ以上にやはりＬＩＶＥがすごいという事ですね。レコーディングされた曲と実際のライブで聴く曲が印象がまるっきり違い、ライブではすごく生き生きと聞こえます。やはり、メンバー全員が全力でプレイしているからだと思います。そういう姿勢が我々ファンを感動させているのだろうと思います。そういう全身全霊でプレイするという姿勢を持ったオリジナルメンバーは偉大だと思ってます。

PeterにはまたぜひＫＩＳＳに戻ってほしいのです。若輩者が言うのもなんですが、あなたのようなロックンローラーのドラマーって最近少ないですよね。私はテクニカルなドラマーより、パッションを持ってプレイするドラマーが好きです。歌を歌えるドラマーも少ないですね。歌うドラマーというのは独特のＧＲＯＯＶＥを持っていますよね。あなたもまさしく、その一人でしょう。あなたの世界中のファンに、再び情熱あるドラミングとその魅力的な声を聞かせてください。

あなたのボイスは特別な存在です。ロッド・スチュワートとも違うし、サミー・ヘイガーとも違います。ジーンとポールの物まねをする事ができる人はいますが、誰もあなたのようなパッションを持った声を真似することはできないでしょう。私もあなたのような歌い方をしたいのですが難しくて無理ですね。

あなたの新しいソロアルバムを大変期待しています。ジャズアルバムも良いですが、カバーアルバムとかはどうですか？あなたが歌うビートルズの曲とか聴いてみたいですね。先日、あなたのＨＰで、あなたが尊敬するジーン・クルーパとあなたが並んで写っている写真を見つけました。私もいつか、あなたと並んで写真を写せる日がくればいいなと思っています。

My name is Ku-ri-su. It is a Japanese pronounciation for Criss.I am now 33 years old. I was firstly impressed by the CD jacket of KISS ALIVE! when I was 16 and thereafter I have been a fan of KISS. Though I like every original member, I especially like you.

Especially in "ALIVE!" your voice and drumming is just great.I was moved by your shout in "Nothing to Loose" and "Black Diamond" and became a fan at a lance.Since that time, I bought all the records of your playing in live concerts and your solo works.What I still cannot get is your first recording work"Chealsea."I would very much like to listen to it but it's hard to get...

The reason why I like KISS is because the songs are so listenable.Besides, the live perfomance is
overwhelming.The impression of the songs played in the live are completely different from those recorded and they sound so vividly in the live performance.I think that's because the members dedicated all therir trength to play the songs. That attitude moved our fans of KISS.I think the original members who had that attitude toward their playing were great.

I would very much like Peter to join back to KISS again.I am too young to say it but I think there is quite few drummers having a heart of rock'n roller like you. I prefer drummers who play with passion than those technical drummers.

Also, there are few drummers who can sing songs. Drummers who sing songs have a special groove. You
are the one of those drummers.For all the fans in the world, please play your passionate drum and sing with your attractive voice again.

Your voice is so special. It differs from Rod Stewart or Sammy Hagar.Some people can give an impression of Gene and Paul but nobody can sing like with such a passionate voice like yours.I want to sing in a way like you but it's so difficult and impossible for me.

I am most excited about your new solo album? Jazz album is good but how about making cover albumI want to listen those Beatle's numbers you sing.

On the other day, I saw a picture of you and your respecting Gene Krupa.I hope someday I could take a

２．一年ぶりです　　from ペンキ屋

こんにちわ、Peter。
約１年ぶりに出す手紙になります。
Peterが「Catman」として来日する事が叶わなかった今年は、私にとってとても残念な１年となってしまいました。
KISSのショウを見に行ったのですが、何だかしらけてしまいました。Eric Singerが良いとか悪いとかではありません。でも、せり上がるドラムセットには、やはりPeterが立っていないとへんな感じがします。

Geneとの間にどのような問題が有ったのか、今はもう考えたくありませんが、とにかく今年はPeterのドラムプレイを見る事ができなかった、そしてあなたの歌う「BETH」を聴く事ができなかったのが、残念でしかたありません。

そこですてきな提案をします！
去年の手紙にも書きましたが、ジャズバンドを率いての来日をしませんか。ソロアルバムを出す予定だし、自伝も執筆中だそうですね。
ぜひ日本語版も出してもらって、その宣伝の一環として日本で演奏するのはどうですか。
どのような形であれ、Peterがまた来日してくれる事を本気で望んでいます。

さて1年近く待ちに待って、ようやくこのサイトが公開されて本当に嬉しいです。英語が大の苦手な私には、Peterの公式サイトを和訳してくれるこのサイトが大変有難いです。これからも PeterCriss.JP を通して、Peterの一挙手一投足に注目していきたいと思います。

Hi, Peter
It's been almost a year since the last time I wrote to you.It was a really really regrettable year for me because you could not come to Japan as "Catman."
I went to see the KISS show but it was a little somehow turned-off.I don't say whether Eric Singer is good or bad. I just felt that the man who is standing on the dominant drum set should be Peter.
Now I don't want to think about what problems arose between you and Gene, but it was only regret that I could not see your playing the drum and that I could not listened to your singing "BETH" this year.

So, here I have a good suggestion for you!
As I already wrote about it in the last letter, would you come to Japan with a jazz band?
You plan to release a new solo album and also you are writing your autobiography now, right?
Please bring it out in Japan too and how about playing in Japan for the promotion?
Anyway, I heartily wish that you could come to Japan again.

I am really glad that this site is finally opened after a year of waiting.Since I am not good at English, this site is really helpful because I can read the contents of Peter's official site in Japanese. I will keep watching any information about Peter through PeterCriss.JP.

I believe that I could see him again in the future!

１．あこがれのピータークリス様　　　from ペンキ屋
初めまして。
ペンキ屋と申します。
職業は、その名の通り「ペンキ屋」です。
私は初期の頃のピーターを知らない世代です。逆に知らなかった事が「ピータークリスはどんな人だったのだろう」と興味が湧いたのです。
１９９７年の来日の時はチケットが取れず、２００１年はピーターが来日せずと、もう、この目でピーターを目の当たりにするのは不可能だろうとあきらめていました。ところが今年の春、横浜アリーナで、あきらめていた夢が現実となったのです。
「ＢＥＴＨ」「ＢＬＡＣＫ　ＤＩＡＭＯＮＤ」を聞いてシビレました。
人間とはいやしいもので、ひとつ夢がかなうと「更にもうひとつ」と欲が出てきます。「ＣＡＴＭＡＮ」としての再来日は勿論ですが、願わくば「ジャズドラマー」のピータークリスとして、ジャズバンドを率いて来日して欲しいのです。これがもうひとつの私の夢です。
それではお身体に気をつけてエアロスミスとのツアー、頑張ってください。

How are you doing?

My name is "Painter" and that is what I do for a living. I am in a generation that I don’t know your early years. If I say that, I much wonder what kind of a person you were.

I didn’t get a ticket when you came to Japan in 1997. Then in 2001, you weren’t allowed in Japan. I thought I would never have a chance to see you and I gave up. Then, during the spring this year the dream that I had given up on came true at Yokohama Arena. My entire body went numb when I heard Beth and Black Diamond.

Human beings are greedy. One wish is satisfied and still we want more.
Needless to say, I want to hear Catman the nexttime you come to Japan. I would be very, very happy if you would come to Japan as a jazz drummer with a jazz band. This is yet another dream of mine.

I hope you will take good care of yourself and do your best on the Aerosmith tour.
